Atlantic 10 Preview with Max Shulga and Darren Buchanan — HPP S4-E10
Jake and Rich preview the Atlantic 10, joined by two of the conference’s stars — VCU guard Max Shulga and GW forward Darren Buchanan Jr.
Shulga, a first-team All-A10 selection last season, averaged 14.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game with outstanding shooting splits of .446/.415/.876. He finished in the top five of the Atlantic 10 for true shooting percentage (64.3), FT%, 3-pointers made (86), offensive rating (123.4), win shares (5.5), and plus-minus (6.8).
Buchanan, a member of the All-A10 Freshman Team last season, averaged 15.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.3 steals per game while shooting 55% from the floor. He topped the conference in FG%, ranked third in EFG% (56.3), and ranked 4th with PER of 22.6.
